Question by jamie: what should I look for in a pasta roller?
I want to get something decent quality for at home use. I want one that gets the job done effortlessly and easily if possible because I am a beginner, but I do want something nice that will last. I don't need to break the bank because I am not a pro obviously, and something smallish would be best.
I would like the ability to make all kinds of stuff from spaghetti to full-size lasagna and everything inbetween - so coming with attachments, and the ability to purchase more, is a plus.
Any preferences between handroll and electric??
Can anyone recommend certain brands or machines that are really good?

I would recommend that you start with a very cheap one, because you might not keep using it.
Years ago, my mother in law gave me her pasta maker, telling me that she used it once. I also used it once.
It was such a pain that I would not bother to do it again, and I'm glad I didn't pay for a machine.
